I just found out I had a button for my boot....
On other news, she hit 100000 km!
And about the debt issues. I talked about it with a financing advisor. She said that my credit score had improved a lot since I've got it. One of my options is to hang on to it until March and then renegociate with the bank I'm with for the loan since the interest is pretty high. Same for my credit card. Or/and get something cheaper (Mini Cooper S perhaps). And about the Mini...I'm still not sure if I should. Right now the NC is problem free. Everything is fixed including the brakes which had major issues in the rear. I feel it would be unwise to get something else that will get me started to zero, maintenance wise. If I redo my budget, cut unnecessary spendings and don't go out as much as I did for the last 3 weeks, I should be fine. If everything still gets fucked...time to say goodbye to Sakura for real. Besides, I got 300$ coming in my bank account for tools. This will compensate.

Reliability wise, you are almost certainly better off with a Mazda with known history than a Mini with potentially unknown history.

There's tons of dirt at work, it would be a shame to ruin dem OEM floormats.

Don't feel too bad. I had mine three months before finding out I could open and close my car windows with the key fob and nearly a year before finding out my car learns from my actions even down to how many doors it unlocks when I press the unlock button on the key fob. Doh.

I actually have a question. Lately the engine sounds a bit more diesel like especially in the morning. Not extreme but a bit. Also the mileage is getting worst. I did a battery reset and checked the spark plugs and no issues there. Maybe it's the ECM relearning everything but I just wanna be sure that it's not some crazy issue. What do you think?

I would start with noisy fuel injectors, run an injector cleaner through it when you fill up next time. Just make sure it has techron in it.

Something like this - Just pour it in the gas can when you fuel up! Edit: The picture is not showing up http://www.walmart.com/ip/16940645?wm…

That's it? I thought I had to remove them or inject something directly into them lol. I already put some Seafoam in the tank a while back, but I'm gonna try that product soon!

Seafoam is great, did you happen to put some in the intake and oil like the bottle suggests?

I get that a lot. Lol. But I think it's a case of forbidden fruit. She's essentially a cheaper Audi A6 Avant. I love my girl and already got the next one specced up ready to order next year.
Next girl.

The oil was clean enough, didn't need it. I didn't use it in the intake neither since I didn't want to clog up the cat even though the car definitely did not generate enough carbon to clog them up in the process. Proof is that the throttle body was clean as hell from day one. I've even checked it a week ago, still clean.

That's good, that means it was driven....I wouldn't worry about the noise. The plastic intake manifold make the injectors echo when its colder.

Not particularly...Those cars are pretty solid, just make sure the convertible top drains have been changed. Just follow maintenance.

Is there a special procedure with PRHTs ones and is there a drain for the A/C? The drain clogged up on my NA and it ruined it a bit with the mushy smell.

They are updated design...The dealer will be able to tell you if they were replaced or not.

bradleyjames518

You can clean them, sorry. The issue was that even when clean, the old design would clog.

I owned my car for like 9 months before I noticed that the upholstery had tiny Dodge emblems in it.

And the A/C? They don't have drains?

The AC drain is located on the passenger side of the fire wall - Kind of a pain to get to, but less problematic. You can clean carefully will a wire clothes hanger from underneath.

I'll check it out soon! Btw, I'm on my second shot of the fuel injector treatement. I only have some Motomaster F1 concentrated fuel injector cleaner here. I got 3 tanks to go with the fuel injector cleaner, but I don't know if it's the colder weather that did this, but the car just got some hidden hp back! It's fast as hell now! The fuel economy kinda improved. But the noise is still there. Something that I haven't mentioned is that I switched my oil from 5w20 to 0w20. Should I go back to 5w20 to reduce noise or go 5w30 or thicker? Sorry if I ask too much questions...
bradleyjames518
> RotaryLover
09/30/2014 at 20:29 | 0 |
Why the switch? That is most likely the noise. I would definitely run the recommended 5W20
RotaryLover
> bradleyjames518
09/30/2014 at 21:45 | 0 |
I wanted to try 0w20 since the weather was getting colder and I do about 15 minutes of driving to work and I'm right next to the highway. Maybe I did the switch too soon.

Unless you're in an area where the weather is consistant, don't change. You need the oil to be thinner on cold starts, 0W-20 is thicker than 5W-20 when cold. It's why they recommend it.
